New Houseguests
Categories: Sneezies5 feedbacks » •Monday, I brought the Silver Cuddle Puddle to the Humane Society. They got their second shots, dewormer, and microchips, and spent the morning in the front office charming everyone, Aurora especially.
Monday, during my first day of work placement, there was a bit of a situation. Two litters of three kittens each, less than 3 months old, who came down with a respiratory infection. In close quarters, especially with guests and some volunteers who are sloppy about hand sanitizer, disease spreads very fast. With nowhere to put them to keep from infecting other cats... they were going to be euthanized.
Well, both litters are now in our back bedroom, on meds. We're keeping them strictly separated from our kids, and are going to considerable lengths to keep infection odds as limited as possible.
