The Silver Cuddle Puddle are now all in the ballpark of 1.5 pounds of incredible energy, confidence, curiosity, and cuddliness. I’m very proud of them for figuring out how to eat wet food and then moving on to dry food, and for figuring out the litterbox — all with no mom to teach them, and before we let them start spending much time with the other cats! Aurora was the first at the wet food, first to use the litter box, first to start playing with toys… she’s generally the one who works things out and then the rest imitate…
Cory playing, the evening of 2 June: Pics from just after the video: (If you upload for lols, give me credit and let me know, of course!) Cory: Cory and Trick: Bonus pics of Trick: Original post blogged on b2evolution.
Well, Eva is now an astonishing 12.8 oz! She’s had almost 24 hours now of her milk being mixed with canned kitten food. The first time, it was very little food in her regular milk. She was extremely enthusiastic about it — she really likes it! The second time, it was like someone hit a turbo button, she was so energetic and playful. We’ve been making it thicker each time; the last meal she’s had, about an hour ago, it was actually about double the volume due to the kitten food and a little extra water to turn it to…
Eva’s up to 7.1 oz!!! And she’s getting stronger and more curious with every day that passes. We’re trying to get her out of her “house” as often as we can, and the more we do, the happier she is. Instead of the first time or two, when she just could not settle down for more than a few minutes, she’s fallen asleep curled up against me (inside my shirt, at one point, having wriggled in there herself) a few times. She cries less when she’s been out for a while, too. So we’ll try to continue with that, to…
Today, four years ago, Trick showed up on our doorstep on a cold, drizzly day, a cute small black-and-white cat about six months old. Loki had been yelling by the front window for hours off and on. And, after a few hours in a back room with a comfy kitty bed and food and water, he started howling incessantly. Since he showed every sign of being a housecat, we cautiously let him out. He promptly began to act like he’d been there forever, and instantly became Loki’s shadow. I’m actually kind of happy that we could never find out where…
You know who you are. :-)
Any pics on here, you can use for lols, as long as I get them for Cheezland!
Because of a fairly short-notice move to a different host at the end of Nov 2014, and the process turning out to be messier than anticipated, some links got broken. I think I fixed things, but if you’re looking in the archives at kitten cuteness and I missed anything, please let me know!
