Catching up – The SCP Get a Bath

Oh no! These were uploaded to YouTube over a week ago, and shared on Facebook, but didn’t get posted here!!! The kittens, having had some diarrhea and no comprehension of the litter box, needed to get cleaned up a bit. Kate: Zephyr: Aurora: Ryu: Original post blogged on b2evolution.

The SCP Running Wild!

The Silver Cuddle Puddle – Ryu, Kate, Zephyr, and Aurora – are on the loose, in our messy and cluttered apartment! Cory’s having the time of his life, and the big kitties are fleeing in terror! For the record, the SCP have been here for just about two weeks now, and have shown no sign of illness. They’re pretty much guaranteed to have worms, and granted they could be carrying something that isn’t showing — but it’s a balance because they need to learn more about socialization than they’re going to get locked in the back bedroom alone except for…

Meet the Silver Cuddle Puddle!

We’ve discovered that they aren’t at all sure what to do with food or litter, although they’re certainly nursing from a bottle with excellent appetite! They’re stronger and more active and inquisitive almost by the hour. Every time I feel guilty leaving them alone, I remind myself, they have a whole room, not a cage. They now have names, and to make it simpler to tell who is who, I made them coloured collars. Don’t panic — they can’t tighten, and they’ll slide over heads or simply come loose under much pressure, but they’re heavy enough to be hard to…

New Foster Babies!

So. I don’t even have time and energy lately to keep up with posting Cory pics and videos. What do I do? I bring home 4 new foster kittens, of course. Yes, four. They were dropped off at the Humane Society as “strays”. Strays that understand food bowls and are accustomed to being handled… draw your own conclusions. They’re approximately 4 weeks old, and I’m still trying to determine exactly how weaned (or not) they are — they do nibble Royal Canin Babycat kibble, but three of four also suckled on a bottle of KMR quite eagerly, and they haven’t…

The Lost Eva Pics (and Video)!

Somehow, these pics and this video never made it online! They’re from those moments while Eva’s new family were here to pick her up. (There are also a few pics of Cory attacking plasticat’s shoelaces, but they didn’t come out as well, unfortunately!) And the short video: Original post blogged on b2evolution.

Angel’s Lessons

I stopped in the bedroom to check on Cory and pet him for a moment; Angel came in just after me, and Cory promptly abandoned me in favour of her. She patiently washed him for a minute or two, while he tried his best to wrestle with her — her fur is so thick and long, I’m not sure how much his teeth and claws really get through! As you can see from the videos, she is willing to wrestle, although no matter what it looks like, I promise, she’s not hurting him. At the end of the second video,…

Cory with Angel

Says a lot about the relationship between these two, hm? Loki and Trick get grouchy with Cory sometimes (they do not and would not hurt him, though), but at worst, Angel just gets up and walks away from him, no matter how rough he gets sometimes when he wants to play. Original post blogged on b2evolution.

Badly Overdue Cory Update

Apologies for the long delay… what with a new semester in college, the change of not having Eva in the household anymore, Sean’s health being up and down, and trying to expand this site (go to https://prysmcat.org if you haven’t been there yet and make sure you check out Samson’s blog for a puppy’s story!) it’s been a bit hectic. Plus we lost the card that goes in the camera for a bit! However, now everything’s reassembled and I MADE some time! Cory’s doing well, overall. His vision and coordination are improving — we’ve been encouraging him to play games…
